Eric Mwesigwa, a 28 of age has achieved a successful milestone as he becomes the second Tanzanian worldwide recognized Global G.A.P Farm Assurer. Eric who is working for the Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA), an apex private sector body that deals with the competitiveness of the horticulture industry in Tanzania is now recognized as a certified consultant in the horticultural arena as a standard and post-harvest handling mastermind. The young man represents TAHA and Tanzania in the world of standards and food safety that will make the country add more buyers, producers and high-quality exporters of horticultural produces worldwide. The recognition of Eric has come at a time where TAHA and Tanzania struggling with matters pertaining to standards’ compliance and certification in which previously the country was using experts from Kenya for assurance purposes Here Mr. Mwesigwa who will now help a lot in making horticultural players retain the horticulture glory in the country and wave the flag universally
