The minister for Agriculture Hon. Japhet Hasunga promised to support TAHA in restoring the horticulture glory in Tanzania. Speaking during the visits to TAHA head quarters Hon. Hasunga said, new experience with TAHA has paved the way for his decision making in support of horticulture in the Ministry Hon. Hasunga said previously he had no clear idea of TAHA with thinking of a small organization, thus visiting the organization lay a new foundation for his activities and shaping the sector in the coming policy draft for the agriculture Briefing the Minister on the organization and the sector the TAHA CEO, Dr Jacqueline Mkindi has told the minister on the challenges facing the industry and hence asked him to support the initiatives. Mkindi said TAHA has been doing a lot to transform the industry, but the government could not see the efforts due to lack of proper management and specific authority to champion the sector hence leading to undermining the industry
